Your Body Knows the Way

Learn to Coach Through the Wisdom of the Body

In this module, you dive deeply into the embodied foundations of Somatic Coaching and Somatic Movement.
Rooted in the Method PME (Physio-Mental Entwicklung), you’ll explore how sensing, movement, awareness and language come together to create a transformative dialogue between body and mind.

This module invites you to experience change through your body — to sense, move, reflect, and embody what you learn.
It is for anyone who feels that talking alone is not enough — who wants to live, lead and support others with embodied presence and clarity.

What You Will Learn

In this module you will:

  • Learn the principles and practice of Somatic Coaching — how to guide the somatic dialogue, where sensing becomes question and movement becomes answer.

  • Explore Somatic Movement — gentle, mindful, body-based explorations that reconnect you with your natural intelligence, emotional depth, and inner freedom.

  • Discover the unique step-by-step Somatic Coaching approach that brings the natural somatic dialogue into a clear, accessible, and safe form — so you can apply it with confidence, both for yourself and with others.

  • Learn to identify the somatic idiolect — the individual language through which each person expresses their physical sensations and inner experience. Recognizing this subtle language allows you to listen more deeply and guide more precisely.

  • Apply the quality of perception that is grounded in the sophisticated Buddhist definition of mind — cultivating awareness that is both refined and compassionate, capable of triggering helpful and healing developments.

  • Use PME’s concept of the Grid of Attention to structure your sessions in a way that keeps the process safe, contained, and more successful. This framework supports clarity, trust, and flow during somatic work.

  • Develop personal and professional resources — clarity, groundedness, creativity, emotional intelligence, and embodied communication.

  • Understand how to integrate body-mind language — translating felt sense into clear, actionable insight.

  • Learn to work with the tools of Somatic Coaching, movement, awareness, and dialogue — in self-practice, peer exchange, and guided sessions.

  • Experience both self-development and professional training aspects of Somatic Coaching — learning through your own embodied process as well as through structured practice.

This Bundle Includes:

  • Taught live classes in theory and practice of Somatic Coaching

  • Sensing and Moving for Embodiment and Development in taught live Classes of Somatic Movement

  • The unique PME- Theory of the Somatic Dialogue from Compassion to Self-Regulation

  • Supervised Practice in Peer-Coaching

  • Eight one-on-one Coachings for every Student for individual Embodiment and Processing

  • Plenty of time for individual Feedback and group Sharing

How this module differs from other Somatic Coaching trainings

Our approach to Somatic Coaching & Somatic Movement is unique. It’s not a large, anonymous course — it’s an intimate, guided journey designed for personal and professional depth.

Here’s what makes it special:

🌿 Your presence is important
We value who you are as much as what you learn. Your authentic presence is part of the process — your body, your story, your way of perceiving.

🤝 Individual support
You will be personally accompanied throughout the module. Each participant receives individual guidance to support their unique learning process.

👥 Small group learning
We learn and practice in a small, safe, trustful group. This allows space for genuine connection, reflection, and personalized feedback.

🧠 Embodied & cognitive learning
You will learn through both experience and understanding: movement, sensing, reflection, and conceptual clarity come together.

💫 Practice with peers
Throughout the module you’ll practice Somatic Coaching sessions with peers — deepening both your embodiment and your facilitation skills.

🎯 Precise individual feedback
You give feedback on your felt experience and there is time and space so that everybody can listen to you. You also receive detailed, constructive feedback on your practice sessions. This feedback helps refine your skills, deepen your awareness, and strengthen your somatic presence.

💎 Eight one-on-one Somatic Coaching sessions included
As part of this module, you receive a bundle of eight personal Somatic Coaching sessions.
These sessions allow you to experience the method from the inside — to integrate it in your own body, emotions and mind, before applying it with others.

Testimonials

What former students say

Brilliant

"The teacher is brilliant! :) Very passionate and knowledgeable on the topic, conveying precise and easy to understand knowledge, experience and enthusiasm along the course. Very friendly, approachable and generous in his support and feedback."

Understanding and Trust

"My understanding and trust in the method, in self-coaching and coaching deepened. That is a really good thing to experience."

Amazing Journey

"Personally, this has been an amazing and rich journey, connecting more to my body, physically and sensory, becoming curious and explorative, being more friendly and compassionate with my body and its processes. This course offered the space to go through a wide range of sensing, feelings, thoughts- from I feel nothing, I am not sure what is there... to overwhelming, humbling realizations about my self (mind, body, spirit)"

I Felt Supported

"The teacher was good. He managed to guide us through the content in a mindful and compassionate way. Which is not the easiest thing to do when you have to answer questions - sometimes so many, sometimes so complex. I felt supported when I needed to.

What I learned:

I learned: - How to coach a person through a somatic dialogue or multiple cycles of the dialogue. - What features to consider for the setting. - How to interact with clients as a coach and to distinguish that from when my role is not a coach - Self-regulation and co-regulation theory. How self-regulation develops. The power of sensing the present moment in re-patterning self-regulation - How to observe a person's idiosyncrasies and use those as keys - How to actively listen and use this information to collaborate with the client - The client truly has all the answers - How to keep a client in the present moment - The structure of the class, i.e. practice, theory, homework, with dashes of theory sometimes being in practice, felt appropriate. - The homework structure of coaching each other was great.

Practice Oriented

"I very much enjoyed that the module was so practice-oriented. It was good that in every session we did somatic movement, and I particularly enjoyed the group coachings (when someone was being coached in front of the group), I think they are very helpful for learning."

Incredibly Useful

"In the coaching homeworks we could practice and try out the steps of somatic coaching, and the commented sessions were incredibly useful to get detailed feedback and re-watch what went on in the session. Recognising and using ‘keys’ became much easier after having practiced for a while, and the whole process now makes not only much more sense but has also become easier. Apart from that, it was so enjoyable to act as an actual practitioner!"

Supportive Atmosphere

"Within the group, I feel we had a great, friendly and very supportive atmosphere, and I am so glad to know that we’ll all continue together in the Advanced Training."

Very Well Designed

"A good mixture of methods – especially the big portions of somatic movement are crucial to understanding and internalising somatic movement and its effects. The structure is very well designed and transparent, well explained. Timing – as always – perfect."

The teacher was very good!

"The teacher was Very good, very knowledgeable, and very friendly. Dieter also took the time to comment on all our homework, which I really appreciate as it was a brilliant learning resource. He also made space for our questions and kept referring to the theoretical teaching in the practical parts of the session, hence connecting both very well."

FAQ

  • 🌀 What is Somatic Coaching?

Somatic Coaching is a body-based form of coaching that works with focused attention, quality of perception and movement in a step by step dialogue to support personal and professional development. Instead of talking about your experience, you are invited to feel, sense, and move through it — allowing transformation to happen through the body. As we say: “Sensing becomes question, movement becomes answer.”

  • 🌿 What is Somatic Movement?

Somatic Movement is a mindful, body-centered practice that helps you reconnect with your natural intelligence and inner balance. Through gentle, attentive movements and guided sensing, you learn to release tension, access emotional clarity, and rediscover effortless movement. It’s not about performance or technique — it’s about presence, perception, and freedom in your body.

  • 🪷 What is PME?

Physio‑Mentale Entwicklung (PME) is a holistic somatic method (the name translates as “physio-mental development”) designed to support both body and mind to develop in a helpful and healing way. Its core tools are compassionate body-sensing, mindful movement, touch and reflective language. Key principles include client-centredness, process-orientation, trusting the body’s wisdom, and resource-support. PME uses a structured yet flexible “somatic dialogue” (sensing/moving/touching + listening) so that self-regulation emerges from within rather than being imposed. It also integrates Buddhist-psychology-based qualities of perception, making the process safe, effective and sustainable.

  • 🧠 Is this module theoretical or experiential?

  • 🧭 What if I already work with people professionally?

It will expand your ability to read and respond to the body, integrate somatic intelligence into your work, and guide clients toward sustainable transformation. • 🔄 Can I repeat the module or take it as a stand-alone?

Yes. You can take Somatic Coaching & Somatic Movement as an independent learning module, or as part of the Basic Somatic Training series. Repeating the module often leads to deeper embodiment and understanding — every round reveals something new.

  • 💬 Can I talk to someone before enrolling?

Of course. If you’re unsure whether this module is right for you, or if you’d like to speak with a trainer, you can book a short introductory call. We’ll explore your questions and see if this learning journey fits your needs and timing.

  • ✨ What if I’m not sure I can do it?

That’s perfectly fine — most people begin with curiosity and some uncertainty. The somatic process itself is about learning to trust your sensations, to move with what is present, and to grow step by step. You’ll be guided, supported, and never left alone in the process.
