Active Presence, Flexible Connection
In this training, your full presence—body and mind—is essential during classes, groups, supervisions, and training therapies. While you participate from your own space, the instructor and the other students may be in another. Through Zoom, you can see and hear each other clearly—an approach that has proven to work exceptionally well.
Enrollment in the Advanced PME Somatic Training requires successful completion of the Basic PME Somatic Training. This program is designed for dedicated and well-balanced individuals who demonstrate strong time management skills and a solid understanding and practice of PME

Upon successful completion of the program, students will demonstrate the following:
A broader and deeper somatic and cognitive understanding of the PME method.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of PME, Idiolectics, Body Psychotherapy, Trauma Studies, Health, and Salutogenesis.
An understanding of how continuous personal practice forms the foundation for all professional applications of the PME method.
Awareness of the scope and limitations of their own knowledge and skills, and the ways in which these influence professional practice.
The ability to contextualize the theory and practice of PME within related and wider disciplinary fields.
The ability to design, establish, and sustain a personal daily somatic practice.
Competence in self-regulation, maintaining balance, and fostering the development of body and mind in supportive and restorative ways, as a basis for professional work with others.
Proficiency in the professional use of language within teaching, coaching, and therapeutic contexts.
Skills in designing, facilitating, and critically reflecting on somatic movement education and anatomical embodiment.
The ability to conduct professional coaching and therapeutic sessions in the PME method.
Practical business skills relevant to education, coaching, and therapy.
The integration of somatic movement therapy and education into both professional practice and personal life.
An understanding of, and ability to apply, ethical principles and the professional standards of ISMETA and USABP.
The ability to further their knowledge, skills, and practice through self-guided learning, critical reflection, and ongoing professional development.
THE SOMATIC TRAINING is internationally recognised and accredited
This program comprises 250 hours of professional training (500 hours combined with THE BASIC PME SOMATIC TRAINING), designed to qualify participants as Somatic Movement Therapists and/or Somatic Movement Educators. Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible for immediate registration with the United States Association for Body-Psychotherapy (USABP). In addition, they may apply for membership with the International Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist Association (ISMETA) through the Independent Track.
